Point Plans FAQs
Point pricing is a pricing model in which a standard unit — i.e., “a point,” — is used to determine the cost of various services or deliverables.
At Mayhunt, the standard price for a point is $165 and our point pricing table lists the cost in points of our most frequently used services. If a service you want is not on the pricing table, you can request a point estimate and we’ll tell you how much a given Mayhunt service or deliverable will cost in points.
Traditionally, marketing agencies have used the “billable hours” model for pricing their services — one in which clients pay by the hour for the work they commission. Unfortunately, many clients don’t like this method of pricing because it can encourage agency staff to “pad” their hours and tends to shift the burden of inaccurate time estimates from the agency to the client, resulting in cost overruns.
Point pricing addresses these concerns by increasing transparency. Project or service costs are clearly indicated from the beginning and when a project takes more time than anticipated, Mayhunt pays the cost of the difference…not you, the client.
Best of all, a point pricing subscription plan encourages you to make regular investments in your marketing infrastructure and long-term strategy.
Yes! Whether you are saving for retirement, learning an instrument, or trying to improve your market penetration, regular investment is the key to long-term success.
Unfortunately, because staff time and attention are limited, small and nonprofit enterprises often struggle to focus regularly and consistently on developing their marketing infrastructure or strategy.
This is why Mayhunt offers point plans: they encourage regular engagement and help you “right-size” your investment. When you subscribe you will earn a set number of points every month that may be used to maintain your social media accounts; conduct market research; publish thought-provoking content; and more.
Sure. By subscribing to one of our point plans, and making a longer-term investment in your marketing and management goals, you can earn discounts of up to 20% off the cost of points and pay as little at $132 per point.
No. It you are more comfortable with the traditional agency model of pricing by billable hours or project, we can do that too.
Yes, points expire five years from the date of purchase. But don’t worry. We’ll remind you to use your points well before their expiry date.
If you are a point plan subscriber, you may receive a refund on up to 2 months worth of unredeemed points after cancelling your plan.
If you are ready to subscribe, use our contact form and select “Subscribe to a Point Plan.” We’ll follow-up ASAP and get you started by scheduling your free initial strategy session and sending you an email invoice.
